Large original vintage pencil drawing, framed with non-reflective glass. Signed and dated 2001.
Happy to post for free without the frame. International shipping available, but unfortunately the frame can’t be shipped overseas.
I drew this in 2001 when I was a plate maker in the local newspaper print room. I was inspired by the CMYK colour separations and how they appeared solarised.
Designed using Faber Castell Polychromo pencils on paper. The pale colours aren’t as a result of pressing on lightly with the crayon, but by applying hard pressure with a very pale colour. This gives the drawing a rich high-opacity finish.
In it’s original 2001 frame; a square, brushed steel effect outer with antique white mount and wire for hanging.
The metallic frame is showing lots of signs of wear - dinks and bumps etc (please see photos) but with premium non-reflective glass which is unmarked.
The artwork has a few unexplained marks but the colours are still as vibrant as they were in 2001. Signed Blanksby and dated 10/21 in pen (which has faded).
