Vintage novelty Japanese thermometer shaped like a dolphin.

Super kitsch Japanese thermometer, shaped like a dolphin leaping out of the water with a happy face. His tail wraps around a swimming ring that frames a small thermometer dial. 

The base is stamped foreign and the face of the thermometer reads JAPAN. 

In true vintage condition. A few age related marks and scuffs and would benefit a gentle clean. The needle moves on the thermometer but I’m unsure if it’s accurate.
